The
hyperopic, or farsighted eye, is shorter
than a normal eye. When light from a distant
object passes through the
cornea it comes to
a focus behind the
retina. As a general
rule, the hyperopic patient will complain of
difficulty with near vision. Distance vision
may or may not be blurred, depending on the
degree of hyperopia and the age of the
patient.
